A Music Camp for Female Pickers

Join us for a transformative bluegrass music camp, designed exclusively for female pickers of all ages and skill levels! Led by an all-star lineup of professional female artists, this camp offers a supportive and nurturing environment where you can reconnect with the heart of why you play, refine your technique, and discover your unique sound.  Open to all ages and playing levels.  During camp, some of the classes and experiences will include:

Individual & Group Learning: Participants will take instrument-specific classes in mandolin, fiddle, bass, and guitar for all experience levels. Each session will focus on essential techniques, creative expression, and refining your own musical style.

Co-Instructor Led Group Workshops: In addition to individual instrument instruction, we will come together for Co-Instructor Led group workshops, where our instructors will lead discussions and interactive sessions which may include topics such as  “Finding Your Voice: Mastering Vocal Harmonies”, “Crafting Your Signature Sound and Arranging Tunes”, “Stage Presence & Performance Confidence”, “Songwriting & Storytelling”, “Mastering Instrumental Breaks & Improvisation”, “Finding Your Style: Expanding Beyond Bluegrass”.   These workshops will encourage dialogue, questions, and shared experiences, allowing for a deeper individual understanding of one’s own musical journey. By learning together in a collaborative setting, participants will gain confidence, expand their musical perspectives, and build connections with fellow musicians.

Finding Your Own Sound: A key theme of this camp is discovering your own voice within bluegrass music. Through creative exercises, improvisation techniques, and mentorship, and a variety of collaborative workshops, our instructors will guide you in developing your personal style and phrasing—helping you create your own sound rather than just playing the notes.
