Ideally situated in a mountain valley, Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center provides a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lake Junaluska is a place of hospitality where lives are transformed through renewal of soul, mind, body and music. This hospitality is provided to ALL persons, without discrimination.

Visitors can relaxing in one of the lakeside hotels or on a front porch rocking chair, gazing all the while at the lake and the panoramic vistas of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. Summers are comfortable followed by glorious falls. While winter’s snowfall blankets local mountains, our valley is mostly mild and easy to access. Spring is always spectacular with the abounding beauty of trees and flowers.

Steeped in Wesleyan heritage, Lake Junaluska first opened its doors at Stuart Auditorium in 1913. For more than 100 years, Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center has been a home for people seeking relaxation, recreation and renewal.

Property

Shackford Hall is our main meeting space. It’s a historic building with a recently renovated modern interior. Its large auditorium with stage is surrounded by meeting rooms, making it the perfect place for individual instruction in all music Bill Monroe. Shackford Hall is handicap accessible, so everyone can enjoy its many offerings. It has eleven meeting rooms total. The Monroe Mandolin Camp has exclusive use of this building for the entirety of camp.

Lodging

Lambeth Inn

Charming, elegant and historic, the Lambeth Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. It offers panoramic views of Lake Junaluska and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amenities include: Free wireless internet, lakeview rooms, flat screen cvs, telephone, coffee makers, private baths, alarm clock radio. The Monroe Mandolin Camp has reserved 6 rooms with 2 double beds for our participants, for either single or double occupancy.

Lakeside Lodge

The Lakeside Lodge offers more motel style accommodations with private baths, coffee makers, cable television, telephone, and exterior walkways. Wifi is available in the large lobby on the ground floor. Each room offers private bathrooms, daily bedding and towel service, and 2 double beds. The Monroe Mandolin Camp has reserved the entire Lakeside Lodge of 25 rooms for either single or double occupancy per room.

Sunnyside

Sunnyside lodging is our economy lodging option for those on a strict budget. Sunnyside has more rustic style rooms, with one double bed and two twin bunk beds, making them ideal for a more casual and low-maintenance lodging option. All rooms include private bathrooms and daily linen service. Sunnyside does not have wifi, but with Shackford Hall less than 100 feet away (the camps location for classes and jams,) wifi is readily available for use for all participants. Lake views are available for a portion of these rooms. The Monroe Mandolin Camp has reserved 25 rooms at Sunnyside for either single or double occupancy.

Camping

Lake Junaluska does not offer any camping facilities on premises. However, located conveniently to Hwy 19, the Lake Junaluska Campground offers full hook-ups, rustic cabins, a deluxe cabin, a spacious meeting lodge, and three apartments. Wireless Internet access and cablevision are available in select cabins and RV areas. Families will also enjoy complimentary access to Lake Junaluska Conference Center swimming pool, shuffleboard, tennis, playground and walking trail. The Monroe Mandolin Camp has not reserved any camping facilities. For camping options, individuals may contact the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center directly.

Prices

All pricing is inclusive of negotiated Group Room Rate plus all applicable State and City Taxes (based upon 2017 rate tax rates)
Lodging Options are for Four (4) Nights only: Arrival Wednesday 9/19/18 (check in time 4:00 pm, and by 3:00 pm if rooms are available), Thursday 9/20/18, Friday 9/21/18, Saturday 9/22/18, departure and check out Sunday 9/23/18 by 11:00 am.

Lambeth Inn

Double Occupancy: $187.50 per person

Lakeside Inn

25 Rooms Available each with two double beds:
Single Occupancy: $ 350.00
Double Occupancy: $ 175.00 per person

Sunnyside

25 Rooms Available, each with one double bed and two twin (bunk) beds:
Single Occupancy: $ 250.00
Double Occupancy: $ 125.00 per person

Each adult checking into lodging will be required to present identification and a credit card to be kept on file as a guarantee during their stay for incidentals and/or any damages to the room. Check-in will be required for EACH adult to come to the desk to check-in to lodging facilities and receive sleeping room key.
